Post op appointment

Well, I had my post op appointment yesterday. The surgeon says I can take the neckbrace off at the 6 week mark and then I will be starting physical therapy at the 3 month mark after surgery. The only thing that was wrong is that my neck and upper back are in spasm and hurt very badly. Hopefully that will go away soon with the help of muscle relaxers. This surgery is very slow to heal from and is painful too. I hope that everything calms down in my neck soon and I will be feeling more benifits soon. I already feel benifits like my hands are not numb anymore and as soo as I am well enough, I will get back to creating! I cannot wait for that! Anyway, that is the latest news, I will post more when i can.

Recovering!

Well, it has been quite some time since I have made a new post on my blog. Was and still am going through a hard time. I was in a car accident and as a result had some bad injuries to my neck which caused nerve symptoms in my arms, hands, legs and feet. So I just went through major spinal surgery in my neck about 2 weeks ago. I have recovered enough to spend a little time on the computer, so I thought I would update my blog. I am so grateful to belong to Club Scrap! So many of the ladies made me cards and wished me well and are keeping me and my family in their thoughts and prayers. Even ladies I don't know personally. What beautiful ladies! They have offered beautiful words of encouragement and their works of art and words of encouragement have really helped me through some rough times. This is a painful surgery to heal from and slow too. It will take about a year for me to heal completely. The bones have to fuse, so hopefully that goes well. I would never want to do this again. I am in a neck brace that I will be in constantly for the next 6 weeks. I cannot wait til I can take that off. I just hope everything goes well. Please pray for my recovery, pray that it goes well and the bones fuse with no problem. That is if you pray, if not, please just wish me luck in my recovery. I would love to heal from this with no complications. Hopefully, sometime soon, I will be able to get back to scrapping and paper crafting. I had to stop that about 6 to 8 months ago because my hands went numb. The surgery seems to have helped that, thank goodness. I cannot wait to get back to paper crafting! Anyway, my goal is to keep my blog up to date with my goings on and with my creative work. I hope to learn new things and new techniques. Thank you to all my Club Scrap sisters who have shown me their support and encouragement!

Turtle journal

This turtle journal was made with Club Scrap's Collections kit. I had this paper from another co. that looked like sand and then I stamped turtle prints on it, used stampbord and stamped the letters and went over them with Ranger's Glossy Accents. Then did the shaker box. This one was fun to make!

The fort

This is another layout using Club Scrap's Color in Black and White kit. My son and my niece were making a fort with anything and everything they could find in the yard that morning. So I got out my camera and took pictures of the process and finished project. They were so adorable doing that!

Surf's Up journal

This journal was made for a party girl. When I think of party, I think of the beach in the summer, so that is how I made this journal. I used Club Scrap's Surf's Up kit from 2006, added embellishments and ribbon. I love how both stampbord pieces turned out!

Quad journal

This journal was made for a woman who liked to go ride quads with her boyfriend. So, I used silver from Club Scrap's Time and Space kit, black and red from the Wheels and Sprockets kit, ivory from the Ivory Elegance kit. Then added flowers and the stamp of the tire tracks is from Wheels and Sprockets too.

Paisley layout

This layout was done with Club Scrap's Paisley kit from March 2006.
